Presenter: Mona Lisa Bontty, Regional Administrator – Southern Region
California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (OES)
As the Southern Regional Administrator for the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (OES),
Mona has overseen responses to various emergencies, including fires, earthquakes, floods,
drought, a terrorist attack, oil spills and severe wind events.
Mona has over 25 years of experience in state service including positions with various leadership
roles in environmental mitigation and remediation of hazardous cleanup sites, community
engagement and leading strategic planning for operational initiatives.
Mona will provide us a Cal OES Overview; share Cal OES’s role in private sector
emergency management to assist with pre and post event planning for an emergency,
show us the OAFN – Partnership development & web map tool, and give us a chance
to ask questions about Cal OES’s role in Private Sector Emergency Management.

Drawing for a Complimentary pass to the Continuity Insights Conference, April 24-26, 2017
A drawing for the complimentary pass to the 2017 Continuity Insights Management Conference will be held at the January Meeting.
The pass, valued at $1,395, is generously provided compliments of Bob Nakao, Executive Publisher, Continuity Insights Magazine.
Eligibility: All current ACP-OC Chapter members who are available and interested in attending the conference are eligible for the drawing. Must be present to win.
The conference will be held April 24-26 at the Denver City Center Marriott, Denver, Colorado.
It will be three days of comprehensive educational programming, numerous networking opportunities, a review of the latest
technologies and practices, additional certification and post-conference workshops and much more.
It is truly the industry’s leading event for experienced business continuity professionals.

Business Continuity Internship – Molina Healthcare, Long Beach, CA
The Molina Healthcare Internship Program shares an objective to create a stepping stone
for students and alumni who aim to be professional and future leaders in the healthcare industry.
We aim to develop talent by providing students and alumni with experiential learning, formal
training, and opportunities to interact with healthcare business professionals who will act as
coaches and mentors along the way.

Internship Description/Potential Projects
· Assist with the enterprise CPR/AED/First Aid Program
· Support the project manager with departmental status reports
· Assist with data gathering and compilation of spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and Word
· Assist in the development of the Business Continuity Management SharePoint Web site
· Support the teams with special projects and trainings
· Assist with system testing and implementation
· Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
· Willingness to learn
· Takes initiative
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Part-time, up to 32 hours per week
Duration: 17 weeks, January 17 – May 12
